Why Vote Only for Me?
"Two seats, three candidates"
Three of us are running for 2 seats from Hopewell Townshp: me, Lisa Marin Main (incumbent), and Linda Mitchell, her running mate. I have to ask you to vote for me alone, not to split your ticket.
Why? It's a statistical thing:
Suppose there are 1000 voters. Suppose 400 vote for Main & Mitchell as a ticket, and 600 vote for me:

| Mitchell | 400 |
But then suppose the 600 people who voted for me cast their second vote at random, half for Main and half for Mitchell. The result would be:

| Main | 700 |
| Mitchell | 700 |
-- and I would lose.
